Mara has just taken over her very-recently-deceased dad's position at a vintage car restoration shop in Berkeley, CA, run by his best friend of 30 years. She finds herself in a love triangle with a younger man, and an old flame who returns to offer her everything she thought she ever wanted. Based on the modern day love poetry of folks like Alice Walker, Noel Coward, and James Tipton.

Published in Best American Festival Plays 2015, and Contemporary Monologues For a New Theater 2018 Tessa, a veterinarian who now runs a dog rescue in Northern CA, is outspoken, has an over inflated sense of justice, and probably drinks too much. Tessa is desperate to find a new building for her no kill shelter, being forced out by an incoming Starbucks. She is at the mercy of the disapproving city council, is confronted with her high school sweetheart moving back home, and all the while is mentoring teenage volunteer and budding vet Molly Mattie, who has a penchant for pop culture, and thinks Tessa is the greatest thing since sliced bread. At the end of her rope, Tessa is left with approaching her estranged father for financial assistance to keep the rescue open to save the dogs, and ultimately, herself.

As they meet to do their first ever on-air live broadcast from the choppy, shark-filled waters of San Francisco Bay, Ben blindsides Sully with unexpected news. As the sharks begin to surface from the deep, so do the partners’ long-held resentments and fears about their future.
